Walked over to a neighbor’s house to feed their cats — and decided to take the new (to me) 5d with me. It had just rained, so it was a bit cooler and the flowers that have some how managed to tough it out through the crazy heat this summer were still glistening from the downpour.

Last weekend, during a friends bachelor party weekend, we decided to go on a hike. Supposedly easy enough — turned out into about 5 hours of climbing up and then down stairs.

AND the camera battery on my big camera died!!

So going back to the rule the best camera in the world is the one you have — I took some with the iPhone using the Hipstimatic app (totally addicted).

I think I might print some of these and see how they look.

I took this in my front yard with my phone with an application I’m currently enamored of called Hipstimatic. Yes I know — not really fine art — but to paraphrase just about everyone making a camera – the best camera in the world is the one you have with you, and this app adds a little style to those drap cell phone shots.

Just got back from a quick trip/long weekend at the beach (about 45 min from St. Augustine). It was a nice chill weekend, just what I needed to recharge the creative batteries! Here are a few of the pictures I took.

Is only a little more than a week away!! The festival will be held in the park on October 10 and 11th – you can find out more details on their Web site – http://www.candlerparkfallfest.org/

I’ll be there along with the usual suspects — you’ll be able to find art and crafts of all sorts — a GREAT place to get some early holiday shopping done.

I’ll have some new Picture Windows (like the one in the not-so-great, taken-with-my-phone-becasue-i’m-lazy pic accompanying this post) as well as some 8×10’s in mats and some other stuff to decorate you and your friends walls.
