This crazy rose plant next to my house decided to bloom. I snapped a few pix with the 24-70 lens. And then went in the house and grabbed the tripod and the macro lens — just as the sun got just about perfect.

Spring -i-n the form of one plant blooming — has come to my back yard, This flower is in a pot that I haven’t done anything to since last summer. I also have a random rose vine which is trying to bloom. Crazy huh?

So this is the last window frame I’m putting together for Inman (there was to be one more — but there’s paint on that one that WON’T scrape off). This is one of my favorite photos. I took it in Bonaire (near Aruba) right after touring a mangrove swamp.

Here is the latest of my “picture window.” I’m getting ready for the Inman Park Festival this weekend, where Scurvy Dog Photography will have a booth. It’s both Saturday and Sunday — hope to see some of you there!

I just got an email telling me to expect an acceptance letter to the 2009 Inman Park Festival!!  The fest is  April 25-26, 2009 and one of the first of the season and definitely the biggest spring festival.  I hope to see some of you there — and I plan to have some new window frame pieces there as well.  I’ve got some in sizes I haven’t used before, so it should be a fun challenge to put them together.

So come out and support your local artists and have a great time!!

Dolly Parton was in the CNN.com newsroom today — Reggie Aqui interviewed her AND they sang “Islands in the Stream” together. It was pretty cool.

I tagged along to a photoshoot (my sis-in-law Kathy was the main photog) for my newest nephew, Jasper. You’ll also see Jasper’s big brother Cole, and cousin Grady — who is Kathy’s youngest.
