East Atlanta Strut

I just got an email that I was accepted as a vendor for the East Atlanta Strut!!! I’m really excited — I’ve heard good things about the event — good energy, tons of fun, lots of people. East Atlanta is just a cool place to hang out in general — so I’m sure I’ll have a good time.

It’s September 15, so if you’re local — or will be in town around then — come out and see me!

Then there was a big garden spider around the front of the house (he looks like I might have interrupted a snack!) as well as a couple others.

Have I mentioned I love my macro lens??

SPIDER!

This crazy looking spider was crawling around the clip on light in my carport. It’s teeeeeeeny. I took like 50 pictures trying to get some good ones with the macro lens. Some came out.

here’s one of the good ones — there are more on flickr :)

I also took some pix of a friends new puppy — you can see those on flickr too. The house was really dark — and for whatever reason I didn’t take the big flash. Some turned out, some didn’t.

Also I think I need to get some new batteries for my camera. The lens was being very sluggish, and the battery died much quicker than usual. Of course I should hold out and see if Canon announces a new Rebel model in August — and if takes the same batteries. :)

Fun at the Derby!

DERBY!!!I had a good time at the derby this weekend. Sales were — umm — okayish. There were some organizational problems (cars parking in front of vender’s booths, and location of those booths in general) that really hampered things. I did okay, but the SuperCute! girls didn’t fare as well (and their stuff is so cool!). Hopefully next year they’ll put the venders where they can see the action, and the audience can see them.

I think being able to take credit cards saved the day — 2 of my sales used them, and I just think it opens up the options. The other thing was the 2 for 1 sale I had going on on the 4×6 sets in those glass clip frames. I was thinking of phasing them out — as they’re pretty fragile — but I sold 6 of those and only 1 of the larger 5×7 sets. So maybe I’ll order some more 4×6’s after all.

Soap Box Derby!!!

This weekend there is a Soap Box Derby at the Sarlight drive-in!  In addition to the downhill fun, I’ll be there with photos to sell.  My partners in crime, Supercute!, will also be there — along with some other fabulous venders.  Come out, watch the races and peruse the venders.
