I decided to test my black thumb and bought some cone flowers and repotted them (with Alicia’s help). Today there were some bees on them, so I grabbed the macro lens and took some shots.

I’ve added some new things to my Etsy shop.

These are something I’ve been experimenting with — and they’re likely to evolve some as I do more.

They’re basically a 4×6 image in a soldered frame. The image has actually been transferred to the glass using a transfer medium and is slightly translucent. The backing is aluminum flashing, which gives the image a bit of a metallic sheen.

I then freeform solder the edges. I like how they’re sorta edgy looking and unconstrained.

I have a few listed in my Etsy shop now, and will be listing some more soon.

this guy was sitting on the wall of an apartment complex on my way to MARTA. I wondered if he had been abandoned. I hope he didn’t driink all that transmission fluid at once!!
